Ashtanga Yoga

During my time in India, I was blessed to be able to practice Ashtanga Yoga every single day for a month. With the added prime summer time heat and the naturally detoxifying benefits to the practice, it had enormous health benefits to my body. Not only was it improving my strength, flexibility and balance, it was also purifying my internal organs. This experience will forever be in my heart, and an essential foundation point of both personal experience and the teachings to be able to spread to all that I am honoured to teach in the future.

A traditional Ashtanga Yoga class is around 2 hours, however my teachings will be 1.5 hours. To shorten the length of time to allow the weekly classes to be more appropriate to attend, breath counts in each pose will be shortened from the standard 5 count breath hold.

Ashtanga Yoga is a set series of asanas (postures). My class offerings would be the primary series. If you enjoy a work-out this class could be for you, be prepared to geta  sweat on. Advised for students with a good level of fitness or have a regular yoga practice. This style is a lot of fun whilst still working hard. The benefits are far to long to list, however some main benefits to express are; releases toxins stored in the body, increases balance as well as flexibility and strength, and so many more...
